i know i recently asked about arabian, but what are your thoughts on amidar? common? available? pricey? replay value? another classic from childhood i'd love to own!(ooooo i'm shot out of a cannon today!)

great game to me. replay value is ok at best. not to common but not really rare either. if ya can find them they are usually cheap. ya don't see dedicated 1's come up to often for sure. glad i got mine when i did. here's a couple pics.

I would love a dedicated Amidar. I had only played the 2600 version (crap) until I got my 60/1 pcb...Amidar gets the most play by me on that PCB, I love that game. Simple rules while being hard and fun.

Could someone please provide some tips on the amidar movement bonus screen?

Is it luck or is there a pattern or place to stop the cat?

It's always the same pattern, just start from the bonus spot on the bottom and go up - every time it gets to a horizontal line it will take that line then proceed up to the next horizontal line and so on, just follow the path to the top and you will know where to hit the button.

FYI: It's actually a pig, not a cat. Gretz99's technique is accurate, although the game does the exact opposite (I didn't know pigs liked bananas). It's pretty hard to figure it out from the top (you could if you had enough time though), but going backwards from the bottom, you just have to be quick enough mentally to trace the route in reverse. If you don't make a move quick enough, it goes on its own. I like the game too, but don't know how common they are. Can't say I've seen one recently (I don't think Funspot even has one, unless its in storage). I also had it for the Atari 2600.
