Right now I'm converting an unfinished vertical MAME project back to jamma.
I set up the control panel in a 60-in-1 configuration, but an wiring it so I have the
ability to also play the U.S. classic and coors light bowling boards that I have.

I found an ameridarts board on ebay for cheap and bought it because it uses
a trackball and I had thought that it was a dedicated vertical monitor game.

When I received the game a couple of days ago, I plugged it in to the
harness and turned the machine on only to discover that the game I got
is set up for a horizontal monitor orientation.

It wasn't until then that I researched the game an found examples of it
in both vertical and horizontal cabinets.

Can the monitor orientation of this game be set up somehow in the
service menu, or are there different boards for each type of monitor configuration?

I suppose I could wait until I've finished wiring up my cabinet and
find out for myself, but I'm sort of impatient.

ameridarts volume control

As of now, I'm not getting any sound from the board.
My first reaction was to check the volume pot, but this board doesn't have one.

I found a jamma pinout and discovered what I think might be a volume control
system.

I assume I just connect a button to each pin ( M and 11 )
and tie those into ground and then I'll have control of the volume, right

Thanks! I've been looking for one of those.

I guess I need to find a volume pot then.
I wonder why they didn't just mount it on the board.

I've already removed those pins from my harness since I thought
they weren't needed, and there's no way to re-install them.
I guess I'll just connect the pot directly to the board since it's
the only game I have that needs one.
That massive heat sink on the board should make for a good mounting point.

It's taken a fair bit more work making my cabinet work with multiple
trackball games than I had originally thought.

At least it's been fun and interesting.
