I was sitting here thinking about old games from when I was a kid and remembered a crane game I used to play. After a bit of searching I found it, its called Junkyard! I want one of these now. Seriously, if anyone knows where I could find one let me know. I'm guessing it would be out of my price range but its still worth a try to find one. Here's a video of it in action, I had a blast playing this!

I saw an CL ad for in the Palm springs area maybe about 4 months ago.
You may want to put an ad in CL in that area. I think they wanted less than 200 for it.
Sorry I don't have a name or contact information..

I just saw one that sold on eBay for $900 and it was close enough for me to pick up but I don't have that much to spend right now. If I could find one I'd be so stoked though, its one of those games I have a very fond memory of.

It sat on CL for a while, I not sure if the person Ebay it or it still sitting in the person garage.
It might be worth a posting and see if someone still has it.

That's a far run for me but for that price I might make it. I'll post up and see if I get a response. Thanks for the tip!

I tossed up an ad, hopefully I can work something out with the seller on it if he still has it.

I am the one who bought the eBay machine referenced above. Sorry to bump an old thread but I just found this website. The machine is in Houston, TX now. It's my first arcade machine of any type.

I highly recommend the game if you can find one. It brings back fond memories for me too although I wasn't quite old enough to play it when the game came out. I was only able to watch my dad play it.

The main location I remember that had the game was at a large pizza palace called Scooby's Fun Factory Pizza. I can't recall if that was Scooby as in Scooby Doo or something else. They had a huge pipe organ in the place and guy that would play songs...I would always have him do the 1812 Overture from The Bad News Bears.

I can't say exactly why but I just love playing the game. My wife, on the other hand, was less than thrilled with my purchase. Oh well!

I never saw one before the video here but pretty cool. Cool theme. You know you're not a wife when you're digging on this one.

I highly doubt Chuck E Cheese had one of these. Junkyard was way out of service by 1981...

but I might be wrong. I love my Junkyard, had to sell a non working one and buy a working piece, but it is very cool.

I remember playing one of those. Chuck E Cheese maybe?

nice video, but who ever is playing it sucks at it. in mine the little permanent cars have 455 blinker lights in them. and I have a lot more cars as well.
