American Laser Games Mad Dog McCree 2 Complete Arcade Setup

I am selling the complete and working guts of my Mad Dog McCree 2 arcade game. You get everything you need to play the game except for the cabinet. All of these components look and work as good as new. I am converting my cabinet over to a multi-rom American Laser Games setup, that is the only reason I am selling. You get...

All the boards (Coyote Board, ROMS, etc.)
All the wiring
x2 Light guns
3D0 System
Mad Dog McCree 2 disc
Mad Dog McCree 2 marquee

Something like this is almost impossible to find complete and even harder to find working. I am looking for $200 shipped in the US for everything! Pictures available on request and paypal payment is fine.

loved these games. especially loved those heavy guns, I'd be scared to run such a monster in our game room with the little monsters we got passing through nowadays.

how reliable are these though for their age? not many people talk about the laserdisc games on here.

my family had Mad Dog II back in '94... the big screen TV one. wound up parting with it early for The Last Bounty Hunter, LOVED that game.

good luck with your sale.

I used to look forward to our summer vacations to Opryland where they had Mad Dog McRee 1 and later 2. Had them on the Sega CD, but wasn't the same. Good deal on the lot.

Thanks for the kind words on the sale. Yes, I too loved Mad Dog McCree 1 and 2. I used to play them at the Dixie Landings Disney resort in Florida and at a local bar / restaurant with my younger brother. At $1.00 a shot it wasn't cheap, but was just good fun.

As for the game itself, it was released in multiple cabinet versions. The one I have is a 25" monitor space saver cabinet. It is a little taller, but otherwise the same footprint of an upright. I do remember the huge showcase cabinets from way back when though. I would love to get one of those and actually had an opportunity a while back, but I have no where to put something like that. Reliability is much better with this setup as it was one of the last machines produced in 94 and it has the modified 3DO player instead of the LD player. The LD players were not made for 24 hour a day use and failed all the time. The 3DO players American Laser Games started using were modified specifically for an arcade so they could take the abuse. My setup got very minimal use and was purchased in mint condition, so it has a lot of life left in it.

For some dedicated laserdisc game chat, you can check out the Dragon's Lair Project forums. There isn't a ton of activity, but it is all laserdisc game specific.

Speaking of Last Bounty Hunter...I still need a laserdisc for that game for the multi-rom American Laser Game setup. You don't still have one or know who does by any chance do you?

For everyone requesting pics, please let me know what you would like to see. I still have the game setup as a whole so I can take pics of individual boards or the entire setup.

hah, no, that was a long time ago. :) Bounty Hunter didn't last us too long either, I imagine for the amount of coin those games ran, they just simply weren't paying for themselves. have to consider we popped for MK2 (kitted in a NARC cab) and NBA Jam TE (another kit in our NBA Jam) along with that Mad Dog showcase, risk outweighed the reward too much for a little family outfit.

I can't remember exactly, but I think the last time I even saw one of those games was back in '99 at the nearby Odyssey Fun World. I'm sure I saw them turn up on ebay, can't vouch for the condition though.

personally I wish the DAPHNE and MAME guys would hurry this along already!

our TLB was also in one of those tall black cabs. back then we always wondered why there was a heavy metal U-clamp around the start buttons... then I realized those games had heavy metal guns. the things the little bastards that come in our arcade now and do to the plastic guns is mindboggling.

Please post pics of the whole setup.

Sorry, I didn't check back in this thread until now. Here are the pics. I have a sale pending, but will update the thread if something falls through.

Funny enough, I saw a Last Bounty Hunter when the MN Golden Gophers played in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX a few years ago now. Some local vendor set up a bunch of games in one of the ballrooms for all the players and that was one of them.
