American Amusement Auctions Dallas May 21st

I almost got excited when I saw the Pole Position cockpit was running, but when I went over to take a look at it I saw that it was playing some other driving game. Too bad the cabinet looked like it was in pretty good shape.

I got fooled by the pole position as well. Only to have ekeeb point out its some other game.
The disco ball went for $25. The rusty broken Judge Dredd went for $100.

I guess we should of met up before the auction. I could have saved you some $$ on the Dig Dug, I was the one driving up the price behind you guys. :)

Second auction I have left empty handed... But then again I have plenty to work on...

Thanks Alex for the pics. Looks like they mixed the trash up with the treasures again. As a buyer, I hate that. That means there are going to be more people hanging around for the whole auction.

It looked like they had a good selection of jukeboxes as well as a fair number of late model video games.

I am sorry I missed it. But I am also sorry I didn't. I probably would have bought something and then scrambled to figure out where to put it (them).

Anyone know what the Ms. Pac's and the combo Ms.Pac/Galaga's sold for? Those are generally a good barometer for me on the prices.

Thanks.
Scott

Get use to the mixing of stuff cuase thats how it is going to be forever unless its a real junk game then it goes to the back row.

Most of the jukes where gutted out, but great to build off of though.

One went for 300 I think the and the combo went for 750.I got the ugliest ms pac with a 48 in 1 for 125.

I still got to pull off the front and see what i am dealing with.

Those are pretty reasonable. What did the Revenge From Mars pin go for? Still trying to sell mine here.

Thanks
Scott

I see some familar games there. Quite a few that must have made the trip from Wisconsin.

Overall you guys look as though you had a far better selection. That Killer Instinct cab looks like it might still be in decent shape aside from the shame of being converted into a Tekken 3.

Yep it was talked to the guy for awhile that brought it all down, nice guy to talk to.

I thought about buying the killer instinct side art was still in good shape.

Are you the one that has the RFM on CL from time to time. Damn I want one of those so bad. It would fit right in with all my cabarets......plus i really like the game. I go up to Pinballz all the time and play the hell out of it and the Star Wars one.

At the beginning of the auction they said we are putting machines in the order that they came into the building.
Even though it was a small auction the auction took forever! The first row took over an hour. I left at 1:30 came back at 4pm and they were only half way.

Very few people left, if anything more people showed up later in the day.

Any games worth buying went way higher then what I have seen at other auctions.

Yeah, the RFM on CL here is mine. Believe it or not I've sold all the other pins I had listed and the arcade and slot machines I had finished. People have really started buying a lot the last several months. Faster than I can get the machines shopped out and restored. I believe you were asking me why I bought the Lethal Enforcers for $225 during the Granite Shoals auction last year....I managed to sell it a few weeks ago for $800 :) Was a total PIA replacing all the caps in the audio circuit on it though. I'm finishing up the Wipeout Pinball now and getting ready to list it.

No that wasnt me asking about the Lethal Enforcers but sounds like you did pretty good on it. Sounds like business is doing well tho. Glad to have someone else on here from Austin. We will have to meet up sometime.

Ahh...you're right. Had you confused with DC2010. Was thinking we had met at the Granite Shoals auction too though. My side-business with arcade stuff has been doing pretty good lately, but I got hit in a re-org round back in March for my real job. So everything is relative ;)

I've just been taking some time off and getting caught up on restoring machines to empty out my garage some before I go back to another job....or before the August auction at least ;)

Sblair, if you get a Stargate or Earthshaker pin you're going to sell, let me know.

Alex, I had a Stargate on CL here for a while that I think I sold about a year and a half ago now. Earthshaker is a great pin too.

I'm almost to the point of getting to restoring the Cyclone pin that has been near the bottom of my projects list and if I run out of things, then I'll finally get to the Sheriff EM pin that is going to need a major restoration and my own Tempest that has been sitting dead and I haven't touched in over 15 years now.

If you ever run out of projects Ill be more than happy to give you one of mine to do. ;)

I was going to but ended up getting engaged instead. So needless to say all my extra cash is now on her finger. :)

Congrats on the engagement! You guys should come down for the Houston Pinball Arcade Video Expo this year.

I noticed there wasn't a whole lot of bragging about cheap scores this year, with all of those machines were there no $1-$25 deals to be had?
