Amazing new way to fix Asteroids issues! TNT Amusements

Reconditioning an Asteroids, I discovered a fantastic fix to the problem of blowing fuses and the nonsense of buying new slow blow fuses--which are expensive! Obviously, the man who owned this game thought and thought and thought on this issue and here is the solution! Todd from TNT Amusements

I don;t remember this history on this game...it was simply next to get pulled out and shopped for a sale (we still have 7 Asteroids left)....but logic board was pulled out awhile ago. The transformer is now finished (new fuseblock, REAL fuses, and cap), power supply redone, and we are just starting to rebuild the monitor....so this Asteroids WILL be brought back from the dead! Wait - what's wrong with this method? It's the only way I can keep my Quantum running!

I just put live .22 cal rounds in my fuse holders, If it ever truly gets overloaded the projectile will go off and explode the casing. LOL

I have found that in machines I have bought over the years. Not a good idea. :)

I think the soldered bus wire across the blown fuse is even better. Nevermind that it would have taken 5 seconds to put a new fuse in... let's spend 5 minutes soldering a thin bus wire across the thing and see if we can't start a BBQ!

Use to get those all the time in the reimport pinballs!

LOL that is funny, until she starts smokin! I use miniture circuit breakers with alligator clips attached in place of the fuse until I get the issue figured out... saves time and money, you can buy them from BoB!

I have those too! Just remember to put a fuse back in the game once you figger out the problem. If you don't, you'll be looking all over for "that little circuit breaker thingy".

Hmm, I have an Asteroids that keeps blowing fuses so I may have to pick up one of these from Bob since I don't have any .22 cal rounds.
