I've had my mind made up for a while now that next year will try and get my grail,a Ms Pac machine but I am actually considering getting a Namco Reunion cab instead. I played one today at a Laundromat today and the thing played great. I had no problem getting a nice score. I've always wanted an authentic Ms Pac-Man cab though. Anyone ever have this dilemma or am I crazy?

I've got a Class of `81 "reunion" commercial cabaret (with coin slots & bill changer). It's solid, and I'm reasonably happy with the controls.

However, the best part is the monitor. It's a cabaret cabinet with a 19" monitor - the standard size and type of monitor we all remember from back in the day. I had a NOS WG monitor put into it when the first one went flaky (remember, Class of `81s came out awhile ago).

Keep in mind that the standard cab has a 25" monitor, and really shows off the blockiness of the pixels in older games. Many folks don't like this.

Can you do a dedicated Ms Pac with a Jamma adapter and reunion board? I'd always opt for the extra game, but I'm not crazy about the Reunion art.

Yeah I'd do that if I had an empty Ms Pac cab, otherwise I'd probably keep it stock.

I like that Namco put out the reunion with those 2 games but I think they should have used a leaf switch joystick instead of microswitch. I can't stand the joystick clicking constantly. The monitor is too big but I do like the artwork. Ms. Pac, one side, Galaga the other, combo artwork on the front. It looks pretty good.

I don't know if anybody here watches The Walking Dead but I was catching up on season 1 and saw the reunion machine in the rec room of the CDC building. They didn't have it turned on due to the generators being low on gas.

I think I actually score better with the clicky Reunion stick than I do with the midway one.

Put a quarter in... and on the screen where you choose between Galaga and Ms Pac, move the stick UUUUDDDDLRLRL and it should make a ding ding ding sound and let you play Pac Man.

Also, some of the reunion games had a bug in the attract mode for Galaga where when the ship comes to try to capture you, you move the stick left and right real fast while pushing the fire button. It'll then let you play out the remainder of the attract mode time.

Just don't hold the stick to the right when it wants to move your ship to the left or it will throw a stuck switch error and reboot. ;)

I do this wherever I see a Reunion cab.

It always freaks out whoever is looking: "Dude, you broke it!"

Is the reunion cab the same design for the Pac-Man Arcade party cab?
