laserdisc games are mostly rare games. If you don't feel like you can fix a laserdisc player, you should probably not buy them. Either that or your going to need a crapload of money to get those laser games working(emulator boards and replacement players, laserdisc rot). Even if you do get them working, they will breakdown often. I would recommend picking on something else. As with all laserdisc games, once you beat it a few times, its going to get really boring. Also stay away from games that let you add unlimited health. Twice I sold gauntlet to people who later begged me to take it back for any other game. So think about the games rules before you buy. Especially if your just going to get 3 or 4 games.
Best advice I can give you iis make a list of what you want. If its not on the list, don't buy it. Look on ebay to see what the sold in the past. If its not working, don't spend more than 50% of working price. Trading games hardly ever works out. Once your beyond driving range, $300+ shipping fees will kill a deal.
Don't buy games with damage. Bad art, missing parts, cabinet damage(swelling), or converted games. They will cost you too much to bring back to 100%.
Don't tell people what you paid for your games(if you tell people you paid $100 for a game and then later try to sell it for $500, you going to piss some people off). Don't tell people what city/detalis ofwhere your getting your games (some slimeball might steal the deal from under you). If your done getting games from the person, then reveal to the public. Taking a fellow collector with you probably means they will grab all the rare games that you don't know about. I would buy the games I wanted in the 1st load, take notes of whats there, and then go back later and buy the rare stuff.
