So I am working through my latest find trying to clean, etc. Bought these 4 in GA with no keys.

Went to open Super Pac from the inside, and lo and behold look what I find...

Game price $75.00
Less find $16.50

Net cost $58.50

Lovin' it!

yeah the guy on American Restoration finds money jammed into the old mechanical ones all the time. I'm not that lucky yet...

Heh, my best quarter find was out of two free games I picked up while on vacation! I was sitting on the beach hundreds of miles from home, being the nerd I am I was on my iPhone checking CL ads.. Found a free AD mini and SID about 30 miles from home.. Actually got in the car to make the trip home but got stuck in traffic.. So I called a buddy and offered him $100 to grab them for me..

Got home from vacation and cracked open both games.. Found over $125 in them!! So that paid for my buddy and I was up $25.. Plus the AD mini worked perfectly :)

I bought a PC-10 for a whopping 25 bucks. I began moving it to my truck when I heard quarters jangling inside. I asked the seller three times if he wanted to clean out the coin box, since there were definitely quarters inside. He refused every time. Just wanted the machine gone. Got home, cracked her open, 25 bucks in quarters!

Always great to hear the money sliding when you tilt it back and try to guess how much is there

More importantly, where in GA did you find those??!! :)
I never see anything that good near Atlanta, at any rate.

Best one that I found was completely quiet - Golden Tee with a dollar bill changer that was nicely loaded. :004_scool:

I bought my Space Invaders Deluxe for $50, had to remove the lock from the back. That was easy because the back panels were missing, removed the coin box and asked the person I just bought the game from if he wanted the coins in the box and he laughed and said,"It's your game now; I didn't even know there was money inside and it's all yours".

Well I removed the box and poured over my hoard of coins.......well how many pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters and fake coins can you stick into a SID coin box. The coin slot on one side is flipped upside down and the coin mech was removed. I think they were using it a penny bank for their kids.....I really was surprised......I counted around $3 in change!!!!

Near Norcross I think...right off of 85

Bought them from a guy off of CL. Ended up giving $300 for all 4. Super nice guy. None worked when I picked them up.

Qbert had to have a chassis rebuild and a new PS
DigDug had to have a new PCB
Super Pac got a Cap Kit
Mr. Do needed a new PS

Ended up being a pretty good deal. I need to start cleaning, etc. Want to redo the Qbert even though it is in a Taito Cab. Someone painted the white parts of the DD cab orange, so I have not figured that out.

Mr. Do is in a 9 of 10 Blue Print cab, so I don't want to mess that up.

For $58.50, a very nice grab. My Super Pac cocktail was bought for $50 with no sound and given to me for Christmas 2 years ago. Too bad its not an upright. Maybe someday.

I once purchased a $100 MK2 from a campground (working), and the guy didn't have the keys. When I got home and drilled the lock, it had $58 in quarters. One of my best scores to date!
