for the switching power supply setup that bob has on his site, where can i get something similar to the distribution block that is shown? Radio shack doesnt have the blocks. I dont mind ordering from Bob, but didnt want to pay shipping for about $10 of parts.

The terminal blocks from RS will work fine, you will need to use the right connectors (the crimp on fork style connectors). They are not as convenient as the lug connectors Bob shows, but they will work fine.

RS sells something similar as does Fry's. But to be honest this piece although convenient is not essential. The game can be wired properly without it.

yep, you can loop wires off of various connectors to get the same result; if you're careful in your planning you can crimp two or more wires into a single connector to create the loop (like the ground wire for switches on a control panel.)

I used the ones from RadioShack in my Galaga and they worked out just fine... granted, I did run out of connectors and I keep forgetting to pick more up... but they work fine. They made everything look a lot cleaner in there when I converted it to a switcher and insisted on running grounds and +5 lines individually (as I could)... Because, in a Galaga... there are (again, I'm not good with numbers... so don't quote me) about 40 +5 lines, and roughly 50 GNDs.

I have seen a block like bob's but with about 10 terminals or so
at home depot actually. It is set with screws vs. the terminal jacks though.

that's why I constantly am making a list for bob, and making sure I order 2 or 3 extra
of the $1 and $2 parts I know I will need at some point.

thanks for the posts.. i will check out home depot for the terminal like bobs (but with more).. the ones from RS - maybe i am not sure about, because they were a strip and each set of screws were isolated from one another.. so i guess i also have to buy the 'jumper' pieces to have more than one terminal fed? Scucci - got any pics?

If the RS you went to was at a Mall...check a RS in a shopping center instead...Mall stores don't have as much parts as the shopping center stores do.
