Hi all
I've been struggling with a custom arcade setup for weeks and weeks now and need some advice about the type of JAMMA connectors to use.
I find that the Molex connectors give (too) many connection problems over time and need ideas on more reliable alternatives. In other words, I get one connector working and by the time I get the next one working the previous one starts to act up again.
Maybe its me... I'm using generic rainbow cable with a Wirefy crimping tool. In my opinion its the molex pins that is unreliable, i.e. when I wiggle the wires individually the connections becomes more reliable - for a short period of time.
I'm referring to the connectors joining the JAMMA harness to the specific inputs (RGB, sound, coin op, controllers, etc.). Also refer to photos.
Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.
