Alpine Racer, help me decide!

Sorry if this isn't the right forum for this thread, but time is of the essence on the responses.
Have an opportunity to grab a nice looking original Alpine Racer, like this one.

Had a couple questions:

1. Is the game worth it for replay value for its commanding space it takes up?

2. The monitor looks to be the 50" projection, but it has some distortion in the colors? How easy is it to adjust it out? Or if worse comes to worse, is it possible to swap something else in there? Could there be a cap kit to cure this or new bulbs?

3. What would a fair price be on one, given the bleeding red and blues of the monitor?
Note: the color isn't so bad that it can not be played, but it would get annoying with time I'm sure.

Appreciate the help.

Out of sheer curiosity I'm curious how easy it is to replace monitors in the games that have the large projection screens.

Anyone?

I've never actually wanted to buy one of those games but I've seen them sell at auction. Usually due to their size and lack of desirability they sell cheap. Real cheap. I've seen them go for $50 or less in perfect working order. Not sure if that helps or not. I'd imagine if this is a collector or even just someone with this one game in their garage they may expect to get more for it. Not sure.

+1...

I know a guy that got a complete working Star Wars Trilogy, and a Broken SWT, for $60. (Yes both of them)

I love mine. Play it quite a bit and its a complete HIT when people see the arcade. they cant believe it. So, the WOW factor is big.

Its just a projection tv. No big deal. You can try tweaking the convergence on it or just checking craigslist for a replacement (thats what I did). You could actually put ANY tv back there but the 50" is what it came with

I paid $90 for mine, and I likely overpaid but I had really been wanting one and they dont come up that frequently. I would have been willing to pay a few hundred.

Appreciate the help

thanks gamey, and everyone else too. Sounds like it would be worth it for the money, I just have to really decide if I can even fit this big bastard into the garage. I know I'd have to lose the Rampage and 48-in-1 right away if I were going to fit it.
