Made a long distance trip on little to no sleep this weekend - nearly 1000 miles total - but it resulted in 4 classics...

UPL - Carnival
Midway - Space Zap
Midway - Omega Race
Exidy - Death Race

Omega Race was free thanks to p1001 on the boards here - VERY good guy!
The Death Race came from Virginia (I didnt drive there to pick it up though) and is in need of a complete - ground up restoration which I look forward to.
Space Zap - is a fun game from Mudmantim - as well as the carnival.

Thanks much to all involved.

Those are some neat games you picked up! Omega Race looks incredibly awesome, I'd love to get one someday. That Space Zap looks funky! So I take it that the Carnival and Space Zap work, and the Omega Race and Death Race are currently dead?

I was gonna say, if these games are all in your house, and i havent seen the place but its gotta be packed to the gills.

Im glad you got all those games, cause i gotta scab a few of them off your hands one of these days. Once you decide which arent gonna make the cut, let a bro know. I could use a few more rotated in, too keep it fresh.

Yeah I have to start thinning down the collection to only the games that I really really want... although if I had a building like you have for your games I could probably keep them all!

I wasn't joking, I think you've got an addiction and need an intervention or something. Don't get me wrong I like my games too, but where the hell do you go with everything?? I'd be divorced if I did that.

Since when is collecting video games a bad thing? I find deals - I go get them. You know me danny - I dont make a ton of money - but I work with what I got. I do work on the side to afford my hobby - and my wife is just fine with that. We celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary yesterday by spending the day together - going out to dinner - and then playing a few rounds of darts on my new dart machine! And she also is totally hooked on my Space Zap that I just picked up... So if she is cool with it - and we pay our bills - where is the problem? I am very happy with the collection of games I have. I agree that 75+ games is a lot - but I wasnt aware that there was a cap on HOW MANY you can own.

1000 miles.

Well sir, there are serious collectors... and then there's this whole other level of hardcore...

.

You guys are funny, a 1000 mile round trip is nothing.
Driving around the United States can be very interesting and educational
Cheaper and faster than shipping.
meet others in the hobby

I drove 850 miles round trip for my Gauntlet II. I only got one game, not 4. :( I picked-up a few games for other collectors in the Chicago area and met Parabolic (Before he moved). I also made a new contact in MN. I agree it seems crazy, but I had a great trip and met fellow people in our hobby. I am not up to 75, but i just added one to go to 16. :D
