Seeing as how my California Speed (and maybe Alli's Crazy Taxi) is likely going to a new home pretty soon, I figured why not? Got this game for $150 so I couldn't say no. Great shape, play's blind. Thinking about entering the dark side with this one and putting an LCD in it. Anyway there's our little adventure for the day.

Unless they make an LCD that does 512 x 400 resolution, which they don't, you will end up bastardizing the picture and have pixelated/blurry edges, since it will be blowing up the picture to 1680x1050 or whatever the LCD native resolution is - they are a fixed-pixel display. Certainly don't install a widescreen 16:9 screen either. CRT monitors will always be better at displaying odd (non-native) resolutions. Just some food for thought before you pull the trigger. Otherwise, congrats on the good deal.

at least attempt to repair the crt first. if you can't then I'd say go lcd...

edit: also nice looking cab ^^

You are definately a scavenger of cheap games. Where the hell do you keep finding these at? Let me know if your going the LCD route. I may have a use for that monitor.

Where do I always find these? CL of course. I have a 29" LCD coming tomorrow and a EGA to VGA converter coming soon. Cut some pegboard to mount the flat panel to and also to replace the monitor bubble. I want to make sure I'm happy with it before I start selling the extra's though. I'll let you know. If it works out I'll save the monitor for you. It does have the USA logo burned in like they always do
