Ok so after being on for about a minute or two the machine starts screaming out "Air Ball"... I have found a couple of the optic sensors that don't work anymore in the scoring section, but was wondering if something else could be causing this?

Also: Does anyone know a good place other than skeeball to find these optic sensors? Seeing as they want $35 each for them and I would like to replace all of them I need a cheaper source.

Update: I found the optic sensors used on this at Mouser for around $16 each instead of the $35-40 everyone wants for them incase anyone else has an issues with theres.

Would still like others input if they've had a similar issue.

Are there any sensors in the lower section for when you "miss" a basket ?
Or like a ball count sensor in the lower trough section where the balls return to you ?

I think there is a sensor at both spots. I'm going to try replacing all of the sensors since the machine was beat on in an arcade and see where that gets me.

Check the Ay38910 on the main PCB....this a very likely culprit.

Well I know at least one of the scoring sensors are out so i'm thinking maybe more are. The game was working fine one day and throwing out the "air ball" error the next in an arcade enviroment so going to try the sensors first and go from there.

Has anyone ever taken one of these apart?? I'm trying to figure out how the shelves are attatched and i'm hoping not threw the sides!

I saw a screw in the bottom area and I think the whole assembly may come out in 1 piece.. I would have thought the individual shelf might have came out, but it did not look like that to me..

if it turns out you don't use all the sensors, I sold the one I had to star up company. I am sure they will call me when it eventually need sensors..
