Did someone happen to get a better pic of the Atari Superman that machine was amazing.

awesome pics! made it to the ohio show last month barely! wish i coulda made the allentown show! looks awesome!

Yeah the machines looked pretty good with the LEDs. I had a great time at the convetion. Got to play alot of games. I learned the difference between a well maintained machine and a not so well maintained. It was very easy to notice which ones were waxed and which weren't.

By the way, sorry I wasn't able to buy your Swords of Fuyr, I really wanted it, but came up short. Glad you found a seller though.

those pics look exactly how "pinball at the zoo" earlier this month...

even the green tags on the machines.. and there was a superman there too..

even the people look the same... :)

any idea on how much the apollo 13 and star wars pins went for?

thanks.

On Friday night they were asking $1800 for the A13. I don't know if it sold or if they lowered the price later in the weekend. I played it briefly and it seemed okay.

thanks...i'm not sure what the going rate on an A13 is, but it's on my wish list. i would have thought anywhere from $1200-$1600 or so, but i could be way off.

any idea on the star wars? another one that's on my wish list. actually, it's my personal pin-grail.....my favorite pin from when i was in high school (and really the only pin i played much back in the day).

I'm not sure on the Star Wars.

I just bought an A13 myself last month, so I was curious to see how a different example looked and played. I paid $2k for mine, which I thought was fair. I had been looking for one for about 6 months, and in that time I only talked to two others within a 3 hour radius that even had them and they wanted $1800, and $2100 respectively. I might have been able to get one cheaper, but I didn't want to risk loosing it and searching another 6 months. They don't seem to come up for sale too often, so they are tough to get a real accurate price on it. Looking here and on RGP I think the estimates were lower, but that negates the convenience factor. I would rather pay a few extra dollars and get a machine I can see and play when I want it, then spend time searching.

amen to that, bud...i'm right there with ya.

and you're probably right on the price being closer to the $2K mark than the $1500 or so mark...i want one, but it's gonna be the third pin out for me. i've currently got a deal struck on a twister and a star wars...after i get both of those, i'll probably look for an A13 (but it'll likely be next year before i can pull the trigger on one).

how do you like yours now that you've had it a few months? i've only played it virtually, but i loved the gameplay.

Speaking of the star wars there, I kinda broke it hehe. I got the pinball stuck in the Death Star. Instead of going down the ramp it got stuck and the machine stopped playing. So yeah not really broken but still. That wasnt even the frist machine to break on me. One of the guys in the outside vendor area had a Medeival Madness. He let me play it, a few seconds into the second ball(first ball drained before I could even hit it) the left flipper locked up.

I got to play a Arabian Nights, that was an awsome game. On the first ball I was like "Not bad, but $3200? Really?" However by the time I finished playing my first game I was wishing I had the money.

I also really enjoyed Johnny Neumonic. That may be the machine next on my list. Jurrasic Park lost world was fun, especially with the shaker motor. I played pinbot which was nice, and it was priced at $800, would have bought it if I had the money. There was a Bride of Pinbot, but it was busy and I left for dinner. When I came back it was gone.

Was definatly a nice experiance for my first convention, I learned alot. Found some machines I never knew I would like, and some I thought I would like that I really didn't. Plus I was able to tell the difference between well kept machines and ones not taken care of so much. Waxing definatly makes a huge difference.

lol.

what kind of condition was the star wars in, in your opinion? reason i ask is, i had a buddy there trying to locate a star wars for me...i'm not sure if he was able to snag it, as i haven't been able to get in touch with him since early this morning.

thanks.

I think it is great. I will caution that you should be a fan of the movie as some of the quotes do get repetitive, and a few others are really obscure, but I like that. I think they really integrated the movie well, and I like the animations. The rocket is fun, but the 13 ball multi ball is definitely overkill. Just trap as many as you can, and play the rest. I like the moon magnet and I think is is an awesome toy. The shots are nicely laid out. A13 was on my short list when I first started looking for a machine 2 years ago. I was talked out of it at that time and went with my real first choice, TSPP. I don't regret that, but sometimes you want to just have a fast quick game and this fits the bill. My space shuttle may be leaving at some point as my wife things I've over done it with the space theme, but I'd love to leave them both and add a Space Station. I think my next is the Getaway, which to put this thread back on topic I got to play a few games of at the show.

i'm a HUGE fan of the movie...and thanks for your take on the game.

Shoot the Death Star!!

I didn't get a chance to play the machine at the Allentown show but I believe it was $1700. Looked in good shape although I'm not the biggest fan of table.

First time at the show and I had a great time. Wound up placing 2nd in the B division tourney which was pretty sweet. I was on the lookout for a World Cup 94 but unfortunately it was sold by the time I got there :(. The GF and I wound up logging quite a few plays on the NBA Fastbreak and it's been added to my short list of games to look out for. I'm kinda kicking myself for not just grabbing the one there.

is that pin any good (i'm assuming the answer is "yes" since you added it to your short list :) ).

i don't doubt you....i have a gilligan's island pin and it's of a similar variety: "basically" one goal in the game, but very fun to actually get to that one goal, regardless of other pinball objectives.

i've never played a fastbreak pin, but i do want to and if i ever get the chance i'll definitely coin it up a few times......it certainly seems like a pin that's up my alley. the "shoot the ramp & start a bunch of modes" pins are perfectly fine, but having an oddball (like a gilligan or a fast break) in the 'ole pin lineup has GOT TO BE a plus...at least it is in my book.

Thanks for sharing. Really wanted to go to this but it just wasn't in the cards for me. It's 2 hrs from my place and I just couldn't fit it in. :(
