All Pinball peeps YOUR OPINION IS NEEDED FOR A TRADE!

I'm new to the site, so thank you all for all your knowledge and contributions to guy's like me! Thank you! Here's the scoop, I own a 2001 STERN "HIGH ROLLER" casino pinball machine (1 out of 1200 made) and I've been approached to trade for "two" pinball machines. 1- 1976 WILLIAMS LIBERTY BELL along with another 1976 WILLIAMS SPACE ODYSSEY. All three are in great working condition and all have minor wear. Can anybody tell me if this is a good trade? The reason why I would love to trade is because I used to play both WILLIAMS pins in my local arcade with my father when I was a kid. The fact that I would have two real pinball machines instead of the 1 (along with Brunswick home versions). What am I getting myself into with these "EM's"? Whats the pros and cons? What's your opinion? The forum is open, thank You.

Depends on what you like I guess. I don't know a ton about EMs or those particular games, but that High Roller seems to be a 1500-2000ish machine, while the EMs are fairly common and I see selling prices around 300-500 each.

If you like EMs and have a sentimental attachment, maybe it's a good deal for you. From a dollar standpoint I think you would be on the losing end though.

high roller isnt the greatest game, but its worth a lot more than those 2 EMs , unless they are in very nice , and i mean nice, condition.

No way unless your memories are worth the price of admission. Basically like others have said you will be on the losing end money wise and if you decide to sell later they will be much harder to sell.

Thank you all so much! Even though I love those two WILLIAMS pins I now believe im on the losing end. Wonder if I could just buy them outright for cash. Anybody know how much a fair price to offer the guy? And the proof for me to verify? Just wondering, keep in mind the WILLIAMS pins are working and are an 8 out of 10- 10 being a high rating.

If they are in great working shape, I would start at maybe $750 for both and see what happens. I would probably not go over $1K for both. EMs are a different world to work on but the logic is no different than SS - switches and cams do the same jobs that transistors and chips do.

They are great fun and certainly a piece of history to own and learn to maintain.

Good luck!
