FS Parts: Alien Syndrome PCB tested/working

Great game!

It does still have the encrypted Hitachi CPU, which is starting to be unusual.

OP, GLWYS.

Mine has that as well. More valuable? Cooler to have? Just trying to understand.

It is going to fail, that has battery backed memory for decryption table inline with a 68000 CPU.

When it fails (and it will):

you can burn a few unencrypted roms and swap on a standard 68000

or you can replace the battery before it die with some finesse,
or you can replace the battery after it dies and using a special rig, re-inject the encryption table.

If you start to see white residue around the aluminum lid, that is usually a sign in my experience that the battery is starting to go, or may be dead already.

EDIT : For this game in particular, Romset 4 is the unencrypted one, so if new owner wants to swap before CPU battery dies, that is the set you need to pull from. You will need A1-6

encrypted ROMS:
10814 A1
10815 A2
10816 A4
10817 A5
10819 A3
10822 A6

unencrypted ROMS:

11080 A1
11081 A2
11082 A3
11083 A4
11084 A5
11085 A6
