I picked up a machine that was converted to an Arkanoid and it has a 19" verticle monitor made by Algo Incorporated out of Calafornia (but made in Japan) Anyone heard of this, or better yet, know of where I can get a cap kit for it? It has a great picture but the top 1/3 has a wave going through it.

thanks,
Mark

Actually it's ALGOL Technology; made in Taiwan (sorry my memory is bad from when I looked at it earlier)

it's Algol Technology Incoroporated, which later on dropped the rest of the name and now goes simply by ATI.

yeah, that ATI that makes video cards. (i double-checked the address from a monitor manual i managed to obtain a few years ago and they are the same.)

i have one of these with a toast chassis and they come up occasionally, most often in Orca cabs i believe. there is no cap kit for it so you'll have to look at the caps themselves and order 'em individually. the manual of course does not include schematics or a parts list.

the model should be CR-M-19VH; i haven't seen any yet that carried a different number.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll have to pull 'em out and see what I have "in stock". It has a beautiful picture, would stand up to a WG or Electrohome even!
