Hi,
We've replaced all the rubber parts on our Air Aces and waxed the play area and now we want to set it where a free game can be won with a score of 52,000. It is now set for 83,000 for the first free game but we would like to lower that. When we bought it display cards were stored inside for different scores. Hubby seems to think it's just a matter of moving a wire from one place to another but we really don't know. Sure would appreciate your help,

Naomi

Can't find the manual online to verify, but "Wizard" (which is slightly newer) notes in it's documentation that there is a "Hi Score Adjustment Plug" located in the "back box lite insert" - there is usually paper stapled inside the cabinet in that area that details which wires are for which values. Worst-case, if the paper is missing, you can experiment to find the value you want.

There is typically a wire for the "10's" value, and one for the "1's" value to allow you to set the score accordingly.

So - open up the head, and look for a batch of wires hanging loose, or (more likely) plugged into empty wooden holes; there should be an area to plug them in nearby, and hopefully your game still has the paper documentation in the area to provide specifics on which wire does what.

Thanks so much and you were exactly correct. The score adjustment plug is located on the left top corner of the "back box" and has ten different settings. Also there are wooden holes as you said where plugs not in use can be stored. Lightning fast reply you made and thanks again,

Naomi
