any idea what it would cost to fix? dont feel confortable diggin into monitors myself

Well, the simplest explanation is always the first thing to check:

a) cold solder
b) bad caps
c) bad deflection transistors
d) worse stuff

If you're not comfortable working on monitors, contact Chris25810. I think he's usually hanging around truck stop restrooms in the MN area somewhere....

if you can let me know how to find that out ill be more then happy to provide any info i can get lol

grabbed a couple shots, the monitor was just servicedbefore i picked up the cab a couple days ago, this was the last thing i was expecting to deal with lol

typical

Resolder the vertical transistors first, they have a tendency to crystallise over time.
More likely though it is a cap(s) in the vertical circuit.

how do i remove this thing with hittin myself lol, i dont want to grab something that im not sposed to lol

G07 Chassis Removal

1) Discharge the monitor and remove the anode cup.
2) Unplug the power connector.
3) Remove the neckboard.
4) Unplug the black wire connected to the neckboard.
5) Discharge the both sides of the small fuse located in the middle left. (Just in case.)
6) Unplug the two white degauss connectors on the front left.
7) Unplug the video input connector(s) in the back left.
8) Unplug the yoke connector on the front right by the flyback. (If the connector is not all in one piece, write down the order of how the four wires go on the five pins.)
9) Remove the two 1/4" screws on each side of the chassis holding it to the frame.
10) Pull the chassis straight out the back.

Installation is the reverse, although you won't need to do step 5 when installing, but remember to discharge again before reinstalling the anode cup....

man tryin to find someone to fix this in my area is retarded lol, hmmm...might unload/part it out

pulled the chassis and sent it with the guy that i traded my astroides to, so in the next day or 2 it should be fix...i hope lol
