After the fiasco of tracking down a yoke for testing the Sharp XM-1801 monitor chassis, I have finally repaired the two chassis sent to me. They are working 100% - sound and everything.

I am now retired from repairing Sharp monitors, as I am sending the yoke back with the chassis' as a replacement for the bad 1801 yoke sent to me with the chassis'.

So don't ask me... :001_sbiggrin:

LoLz

I'll only ask you if ya can fix anything I turn up if I can't do it myself. Your considerably closer for someone who has experience repairing a lot of Monitors. Otherwise I'll stick to asking questions on the forums.

"normal" monitors like G07's, 4600's, 4900's, K7000's, K7200's, K7400's, K7500's, U2000's, U5000's, K6100's, G05's, and V2000's are no problem currently. I've fixed a lot more that that, but I don't always have the tube/yoke I need for testing...

what yoke did you say was compatible with the XM1801N and the XM2001N again?

The Vision Pro's (the last batch of "new" ones). I'm thinking a K7000 yoke MIGHT work, too. Has the same neck size, and the yoke readings are pretty close. Haven't tried it, though...
