Well I'm finally happy to say that after five plus years involved with this project its coming to a HAPPY end. I started shipping the first of these art packages out this past Friday as the custom packing makes these very time consuming to pack up when having to ship everything flat.

This isn't a "For Sale Post" so I didn't post this in wrong section. The Limited 30 sets we have produced have been spoken for a very long time...we did have some people drop off the list for various reasons when it came time to collect money...however the standby list people grabbed up those sets pretty quick.

Thought it would be fun to snap a few pictures of the stuff included in the set as I packaged some of the sets up...

Now of course technically its not finished until the sideart ships too but Rich at thisoldgame is working on that already and that will be shipping in early March..every other piece in the set is complete and more packages will be going out Monday...

You know Saturday shipping is becoming extinct with a lot of shipping companies including the Post Office as I'm sure many have heard..

Here is few pictures I snapped off..Inside the brown envelopes is the custom atari sticker set I had done for each cab..each art set has its own custom serial number. I included pictures of this in another picture.

Also had backdoor sheet included.

Its nice when its done..but I wouldn't recommend this large of a project for anyone to take on...especially if you have family with young child and extremely busy and stressful job....like me... This is last one I will ever do this large...

I'm back to one piece of art here and there..

This is a pretty epic achievement. Can't wait to check it out.

So do the art sets all come with the 3 speaker grill revisions and the Agent X/C&D marquees? If so that is pretty cool.

Of course you get everything pictured....:D You as the owner will have to make the tough choice of which versions to use on your own game..Agent X or Cloak and Dagger...and then what Speaker Grill....

Just as FYI for those that don't know...the middle and bottom speaker grill versions pictured above are prototype versions found in original atari films that were never actually put into production...the top one is the one used on the limited test cabs that were produced...which was around 20-25 according to several reliable sources..of that I only know of 5 cabs that still exist...and I own the very first one ...marked serial number 1...:D Its actually signed by the game programmer himself Rusty Dawe on the control panel..

This would be a really fun project to build, but $$$ at the same time. Perhaps one day, someone will want to sell their set after losing interest and I might find one for sale.

That is awesome. It is a tough choice though - I love the movie; but it's also tempting to make the most accurate reproduction of the production model.

I think I will see if Troy has any more repro speaker grills. And I might have 2 of Brett's repro marquee frames. Maybe I could even rig up a ROM bank switch to swap title screens. :D

Well at least in terms of the marquee...both were used in the prototype cabs...they changed when the game got licensed by the movie and the working title was changed to "Cloak and Dagger" not "Agent X" which was working title at the time at Atari. This is why there are two different marquees that were used...when game was originally in early production it wasn't known that it would eventually be used in a movie..Just another little FYI..

I actually have the Agent X version on my prototype cabinet..but the original marquee is Cloak and Dagger which I have too...and can swap at my leisure...

Its beautiful work. I cant wait to get mine. Ive been thinking about it daily. Having this game will be a dream come true and a sweet addition to my collection of all movie based games.

I love seeing these huge projects come together! Cloak and Dagger is one of my favorite childhood movies. Kudo's to roadrunner and others who helped this game get finished. I hope to play one someday!

So is there any interest in the multi boards?
will be setup to run both AgentX and Cloak & Dagger roms

May be a good idea to start a separate interest thread in this or FS forum.

For the record however, yes, I would buy one.

SideArt now printing

on a side note on side art FWIW
First thanks to those that hung in there to see this project through
But in a way it will make for a far better sideart print now and heres why.

For starters a much better vinyl is now being used that wasnt previously available
Ive learned alot over the past few years about using the Atari films
the sideart was only in 8"x10" negative form and those negatives when blown up to 6ft postives did not have all the right colors. and at the time wasnt sure why
Now in working on some common problems with things like Lunar Lander, Food Fight and Quantum. I can now see why Agent X wasnt going to work as we orginally had it
we had pictures of some of the exising orginal cabs so I had a good idea what
things were modified. Those modifications were generally done on the spot with the full size positives. in some cases for reasons completly unknown.
and Ill point out some of these problems as I get further along in the printing process
stay tooned...
