Picked up an Afterburner yesterday in trade. The molex connector that attaches to the monitor chassis has an issue. When game boots up it is either "overly biased red or blue" and the other colors dont show up. If you put pressure sideways on the connector all the colors show up but as soon as you release either the red is gone or the blue is gone. Is there a good way to make better contact? Should I gently bend the pins on the chassis so they make a better connection with the molex?

Is the issue with the plug or the header pins? If the plug looks burnt or brown then its most likely the plug, I would change that first being its the easiest of the two to change. If the problem persists then its the header pins themselves that need to be re-flowed, as in new solder put on the pins where they connect to the board, or if the problem still persists then the pins need to be replaced with new pins. To change just the plug you need the .156" plastic connector plug as well as the pins themselves, as well as a crimp-er tool see below.
