So just a tip here. I have an Afterburner II rebuild and had issues with the shaker motor. As a matter of course I replaced the rectifier and the large cap ( had spares ) and the SSR on the board but couldn't get any life.

Putting 30v on the wires to the motor and it worked, fuse good.

I ended up trying to trigger the SSR from the board direct with 5v ( not plugged into the game board ) and nothing until I got 1 stray shake out of it whist moving the board around. Checking the connector from the SSR to the motor and noticed a small burn coming from the orange wire. Cleaned that up and motor is purring ( well squealing ) away.

Obviously not sure the SSR was dead in the first place but still handy to replace it.

Replacement part was I used was

Note the case is a little bigger and you have to squeeze it in but other than that it's good. I did source some other SSR on Amazon from China before getting this one that also worked after cleaning the connector but note they do have the +/- switched so you have to wire them up.
