Afterburner fans

Ive got a mini cabaret that was converted from a thunderblade, Its in kinda rough shape and I cant get the sound to work. Also the yokes too loose. Needs a new boot and side art.
Sure Ill be working on it for awhile.

A cabaret After Burner? I'd love to see that! Any pictures?

doh. I'm so hosed. I put my grey metal afterburner deluxe nose limit switch cover in my car to try to color match it at the hobby shop and misplaced it. I've checked everywhere. I think I may have screwed up and taken it with me to my work locker. That's the last I remember it. Its not there however so I'm thinking, I may have left it out and the janitorial service threw it away :( Luckily its just a plain grey rectangular thin gauge metal plate with holes drilled in it so I suppose I could fabricate a new one if needed but would be interested in buying one if anyone has one for sale. I'd pay well. lmk :)

Thanks,
Regards,
Tom

Anyone ever see this version of Afterburner before?

Yeah there's an eBay auction link right under the picture. Had to use a program to grab the photo off eBay since they got stingy about that. The other pictures are just close ups of the cabinet though.

I prefer the spiritual sequel G-LOC, but I enjoy Afterburner too despite sucking at it. I played it quite a bit at some of Auric's parties in hopes of beating his world record on his own machine but couldn't get as high a score as he did when he put a quarter in and walked away without touching it ;)

it's kind of cabaret. it exists too as this style for : Thunderblade & Outrun.

it's supposed rare.. i have the japanese version. the old operator we visited in some wasted place in center of France gave chance to some unusual machines it seems. my pal got a "sagaia" electrocoin double screen.

for AB mini, only other picture.video i could see is one in a well known spot in Tokyo. mikado floor.

Ijust got me a nice upright with little play, cab is nice but needs left side of side art ;(
ill hopefully find some ;)

Years ago I had the deluxe version. I messed up my back loading that thing into a trailer as it only had 1 wheel on it, which the seller neglected to tell me. It didn't work but I got it for a great deal (around $280). Fixed it up and threw a party one night where that thing got played non-stop for about 6 hours. I sold it about 5 months later as it was taking up too much room in the garage and it would never fit into my house.

I picked up an upright awhile back as I was missing the game. Played it quite a bit at the arcades back in the day. It's a classic. Also picked up an Outrun as that was another Sega title that I played quite a bit back in the day. Both of them are out in my garage awaiting restoration before they are added to the basement arcade.

I really like afterburner.. I dont own one right now, but have owned several.. I really like the New afterburner, I played at Circus Circus in Vegas a few months ago...

Trying to wake an old post. I got an after burner 2 upright im setting my dip switch and there is a setting for upright 1, upright 2, moving sit down, and non moving sitdown. What is the other upright? All i have ever seen is the normal upright like i have. Also mine is missing the sticker on the throttle. While looking for a replacement i see there are two different ones. One where fast is in ul posistion and one where fast is in down posistion. Mine is fast in up posistion. Could this be the different upright settings? There is a dip switch for throttle but its only on or off not direction switchable. It has me puzzled google searches did not find answers. Hopefully someone here knows
