Last weekend I shot some video of my After Burner II Deluxe cockpit. I spent over a year going through this machine. (And it was working when I got it!) There are a surprising number of hidden wires, sensors, motors, and other things on this cabinet, so I thought some folks might enjoy exploring them all.

The video is available at http://www.atomicbuffaloarcade.com/videos.

Enjoy!

Man that is a top notch, kick butt video. Very well done and narrated. I think I spotted a NOS monitor plexi and other NOS parts on that bad boy. Looks to be in terrific condition man. Awesome job on the restore! I love the space you have in the gameroom and nice to see Afterburner taking center stage!

Thanks, Tom! The monitor plexi is actually original, but I spent WAY too long working on it with the Novus :)

Wow man, I'm even more impressed now...when the video showed the monitor plexi, it looked so clear and nice I assumed it was NOS all the way. That must have been alot of elbow grease and Novus to get results like that. Bravo!

Thanks for the video, really well done and not boring. You wouldn't be able to give a tour that long of most games..interesting seeing the mechanisms behind the motion.

Parts of that game look new.. very nice.

That cabinet is what placed Afterburner on my list of the top 50 arcade games of all time. Thanks for the great walkthrough video. Rep points in your bank.

I had the pleasure of witnessing this project first hand in the early stages. Glad to see you got it working 100%. Great video. Hopefully I can see it firsthand again when I get back from overseas. See ya then! By the way...fantastic job on the restoration! Looks a million times better than when I last saw it. I also noticed you have quite a bit more games now. Look forward to the next arcade party..!

Hey man, good to hear from you! Let me know as soon as you're back in town, and we'll take 'er for a spin.

Will do! Having fun in Thailand right now. Just got done standing in for a local Thai band in a bar that I just happened to be in. They were playing rock and the drummer had the perfect setup for Metallica. I asked if they knew and Metallica songs and the singer started rattling off all the songs from the Black Album. I stopped him and asked if I could play Enter Sandman with them. They said "Hell Yes." Still can't believe I played the drums to Sandman live for the first time with an actual band and not just me in my house. Great time! Captured a vid of it. Don't want to hijack your thread, so I'll wait to hear from you if it's ok to post it here. Thanks.

Let's see it!

Too late. Just accidentally deleted it. Dammit. Thought I was deleting from the camera, but I had already done that. Ended up deleting the video after I had just transferred it. My Recycle Bin is set up to auto-delete and not store anything. Oh well. Still good times.
