It was never a REAL big push for me.
Had the opportunities to pick up a DLII a few years back, I passed.
Had a DL in 1985, wow...I'm old...

But, thanks to 30FathomDave, I picked up a Space Ace!

This one can play DL and SA. Multiple ROM versions...blah, blah, blah.

I just had to goto Goodwill and pick up a $4 TV to put on top!
Oh, how I remember these monitors on top of the games to see all the people play....

Think I had more fun watching people mess up on the TV. Yes, that's right, I did have more fun...saved a few quarters too!

Thanks a million Dave!

Would be cool is some one reproduced the auxiliary monitor cases that way shipping would be decent and people like me could take a spare 19 inch and make some of those auxiliary monitors.

Don't want to bum you out, but if you had a game in 1985 you're closer to 30 years of collecting than 20. ;)

I didn't own any games then, but I was shoving money into them like a mental patient. Nice score!

very cool... In 85 when my dad worked at aladdins, he brought a space ace home for 100.00 right from the arcade along with others that he was getting for 50.00 like galaxy ranger and baby pac, etc.. but anyways back then you didnt switch roms, so he bought the logic board and the disc for DL and all we did was switch the disc and logic board out to play DL.

Since then that was the only remaining game we owned from back then and i sold it when the panasonic 3DO came out. I sold it to a guy in philly for 500.00. This was before the internet, so i had an ad in the local paper to sell it.... Only game i wish i never sold... I could play those games without even looking at the screen.. i can play it by just listening to it

Congrats, game looks to be in nice shape. I remember as well b.i.t.d. seeing tv's on top off DL's & SA's.

Nice score, congrats. The tv on top looks cool.

I love mine. Took a lot of work to get it. And then even more work to score the original parts to swap in Space Ace (control panel, marquee, laser disc).

My son kicks butt at Space Ace. He's 10 and mops the floor with me!

Wow! Really nice machine! I remember playing that game when it first came out. I sucked at it, but it was fun. Love the TV on top, gives you that arcade feel.
