Afraid to cap the monitor on my Goldentee

It's just so expensive to replace if I mess it up. It's a 7500. Give me the courage, lord. :)
 
It's no big deal. Just about 50 caps or so, IIRC. Just make sure to mark how the plug connects to the transistor mounted off the board if yours is set up that way...

50 caps?! That's not right, is it? I got the cap kit, and it doesn't seem like 50.. :)
 
I normally pull my monitors out and put them on my bench when I cap them, doesn't seem like that's happening with this beast. Is there a dirty trick to getting the chassis out of this one without yanking the monitor?
 
A 7500? It's been a while since I worked on one, but I think it's just a couple of screws and it should come right out. Might be a transistor mounted to the frame to watch out for.
