I started this back in February and I can finally call it complete. It was a lot of fun to see this go from a machine right off route to its current state.

The playfield restoration was done by Brian Weissmann at HSA Pinball. It is a Stage 2 restoration. All other work is my own elbow grease. The cabinet is original, not a re-decal.

Here's a link to a slideshow showing before and after (49 images):

Thanks for sharing!

Those pics look fantastic. Its almost like when you get new glasses things seem more in focus. What had before wasn't bad, but now everything looks crisp and sharp. That was one heck of a restoration.

It's nice to see one of my playfields installed back into a game. We recently did several AFM playfield restorations, more than usual. I guess the reproduction AFM playfield inventory is drying up. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Maybe one day I will have time to restore my AFM machine. Our workload on customer playfields is just to heavy to even think about it.

Very nice! I am currently restoring a very dirty and abused AFM, I was lucky enough to find one with a beautiful playfield and it's cleaning up nicely! The Stroke of Luck hole on your playfield looks great, it's rare to see one in that condition from my experiences.. unless there's been a playfield swap or the machine is an expensive HUO example.

Great job!
