AEROSMITH revolution x, question about player 2 gun

hello. i just aquired a revolution x arcade game. i have been playing the machine and it actually seems fun but one thing i noticed........

player one works fine........but when i start player 2, it will fire normally, but the crosshairs of the gun (where your aiming) will not cover the entire screen. it leaves out about 1/5 of the left hand side of the screen.........(player 2 is on right side of cabinet)in other words you cant shoot the entire way to the left of the screen but almost.......other than that player 2 works....player one will work like normal and goes the entire way from left to right

it also seems like the popping and vibrating noise in the gun is stronger in the one than in the other.......

anyone else ever had anything similair, or have any good advice?

alrite....im gonna have to try that here.........
im just curious....(trying to learn) how would a gun get out of calibration?

also......is there a way to make that vibrating "knocker" in the gun louder? the one is nice and loud and the other one is like a low thumping lol

Rev. X is a x/y positional gun game rather than a light gun game. Calibrating sets the border limits for the crosshair on screen.

Not sure about making the gun louder. Maybe someone else has tried to fix it. A lot of these guns don't make noise at all anymore so its good enough for me.

The recoil issue is most likely a bad or failing coil. You will have to open the gun to replace it. Just pay close attention to how you disassemble the gun and it's fairly easy. The old coil Part Number is: AE-23-800-08 if you can't find any, the replacement Part Number is 96-4935-00. They will cost you around 10.00 from Happ. I would also replace Part Number 96-4970-00 which is the bumper. They are only 2.00 and are attached to the coil so the old one won't like to stick a second time because they are self adhesive. You will need some double sided foam mounting tape when you reinstall the replacement coil. The coils have diodes installed so make sure to pay attention when soldering the new leads on to insure that you have the polarity correct. You can maybe find these parts elsewhere if you look around. Unfortunately, I find myself having to use Happ for these older games because they seem to be the only one with all the parts.
