Wanting to get my first pin and I have an opportunity to get a working Pinbot for $900 (pics attached). Should I do it? Any Pinbot owners out there? Any Pinbot haters? Why should I get it or why should I pass?

Thanks guys!

Pinbot rocks! I'd definitely do it. Price sounds... fair? Not a steal but a very fun game and I've seen them go for more at times. Somebody else would probably know more on the price point than me.

That was my first pin. Loved it. Simple to clean and maintain and pretty fun.

It's like a gateway pin. It'll leave you wanting more...

Good first pin, would help to get past that learning curve about pinball machines. It is a fun game, I've known so many people that have owned them, I never had to buy it myself.

900 is sick deal.
i've had pinbot 8 years now,
no plan on selling. great game.

great game. Great price. If you have the money I would say go for it. Fair warning pins can be just as addictive as vids so don't expect this to be your last ;)

Also, if you are interested it may be worth checking out if you have any local pinball leagues near you. its a great opportunity to make connections in the pinball community and play on some games you may otherwise not have an opportunity to.

I used to play Pinbot a lot as a kid. It was one of the first pinball machines I actually understood and liked. It's worth 900 bucks.

Cabinet looks great, backbox is banged up a little but not horrible, it still has the red dome on the top with the colored plexi and the playfield looks to be mylared. It's hard to tell but looks like none of the playfield inserts are lifting under the mylar.

Is the face shield plastic or the spiral ramp (at the very top) busted? How are the boards in the backbox, are they all hacked up, burnt up connectors? It looks like at least the 2nd player display (Alpha numeric) is outgassed. I don't believe you can replace them with new anymore. Finding a replacement or converting to the led versions might be pricey.

Still, $900 is a good to decent deal on it. It's a good playing game but can get old. I owned one for years. Lots of pinball noobs played it and enjoyed the hell out of it. It's got staying power though, lived for YEARS in the arcade I grew up in on a college campus so you know it made money.

Thanks everyone. I bought the Pinbot and am very happy with the purchase. It's my first pin and although not perfect, it fits right in with my style and my gameroom. I guess I'm a pin guy now.
