anyone added a volume control to the exterior cabinet of a 60-1 icade? i know the volume can be adjusted on the dip switch menu and on the board but wanting to add onbe on the exteriro of a cabinet to be able to turn up and down during loud quiet times of the day. I'm thinking just gettin ga volume control from radio shack and running it in series with the speaker wire. thxs for your input

I'd suggest getting an amplifier with volume control to put inline with the speakers. Then set the volume to a relatively low setting in the software, and adjust the volume externally.

If I remember correctly, a simple 5K potentiometer in the audio line does just fine. Correct me if I am wrong.

Im betting your right. You will have to play with the adjustments between the two to find a good medium and then you can just use the external pot for future adjustments.
I have done it on a couple pac machines in the past and its worked great.

There is already a volume pot on the game PCB. You could remove it, then attach wires and mount the pot or a similar one wherever you want.

Or you could hook up the audio jack on the PCB to your home theater, disconnect the internal speakers, then listen thru the big sound system...
