I would like to add a button to my BC-1 to dispense tokens so that they don't have to put actual money into the machine.

Looking at the Schematics,

It seems like the easiest place to connect to would be PIN 14 or PIN 16 of the PI05 connector on the OBA.

The question is, is do I tie that line to ground or do I need to connect it to something else? (with a button)

My Test/Vend button is on the OBA unit itself, and if I tied into that, it would require soldering to the board and I would like to avoid doing that.

Get a meter and just see what voltage it is at in the idle state. Then coin it up and see if it drops to 0v. As a guess.... I'd expect you'll see +5v and it being grounded when a coin comes in.

After looking at the Schematics, I decided it would just be a whole lot easier to solder the switch directly to the switch that's already on the board.

Took me 15 minutes to do (takes time to pull everything out and put it back in the machine!), and it works great!
