Only a 7 hour round-trip this time so it wasn't too bad. The Battlezone cabaret is non-working at the moment but there are definite signs of life. Just waiting to get parts in from Bob Roberts before I go any further.

One odd ball thing is both joysticks have a fire button but the left one is not wired up. Not sure if I'm going to wire it up or replace it with the correct grip yet. I have ordered a couple bellows since you can tell this game got a lot of play BITD.

Overall it's in pretty nice shape.

Nice looking machine. I picked one up a few months ago, but yours looks to be in a lot better shape than mine. Mine is working nicely though. Good luck on getting yours going.

sweet man...
You're on your way to the wall-o-atari-vector-cabarets!... Time for an Asteroids mini now :)
That cab looks to be in really nice shape!
cheers

Thanks guys. :beerchug:

And shilmover, let me think about it... after I get the game working and play with the two buttons though I'm thinking I'll like it that way and keep it... but you never know. :D

Very nice looking cabinet. I love my BZ mini. I'm used to it now and actually prefer it over the upright especially when I have to move it.

Finally buttoned up the PCB issues today...

Only thing left to do is rebuild both joysticks... the left one is OK, but the right one is as sloppy as a hook... uh... you get the idea. :)

Boy... what a awesomely fun game!!!

That looks really nice. If it were me, I would replace that left joystick to one without the button. That machine is sweet and no reason why it shouldn't have the correct joystick on it. Not saying you have to trade with shilmover, but that is certainly an option.

Contrats!

Sweet game, one of my favorites. Looks like you need the red/green overlay too.

I love my BZ cabaret. It's the only game I have paid to get shipped to me.
I think mine needs a Missile Command cabaret to keep it company:)

Is your plexi smoked or clear? I can see your bezel very well. Maybe its just the flash.

Looks good. Don't forget to add the greeen film over the monitor.

I know of someone in Missouri that has one of these if anyone is interested. The cabinet is not as nice as this, but it does work and is complete.

Yeah, the flash sees right through it. The Plexiglas is smoked, but a strange color. I'm *very* color blind but my son and daughter both aren't and they are having a heck of a time coming up with what color it is. I took the Plexiglas out and had them compare it to others and the only thing they agree on is it's "tan-ish". :)

Did the cabaret use the colored overlays? Only reason I ask is my cardboard bezel doesn't seem to have any tape marks on it like you'd expect.

Jeff,
I bet it did... the overlay is actaually taped to the monitor, not the bezel. Get some from wiz when you get the bellows :)
