I always wanted to put a sign in my arcade. Stop, R/R crossing, Yield, whatever. The gypsies at Goldrush Days here in MN always want $75-$100 for a stupid sign. This year I got a "Yield" sign for $5.

I mounted that on the ceiling of my stairwell leading into the arcade a couple of months ago. But it needed more. What am I yielding to?

With some vinyl lettering from Prok(big thanks to him for producing such a nice product and shipping it so fast), I spiced up the arcade entrance. I wanted to use that 80's computer/robot font...

It reads:
Yield
to all aliens
UFO's, robots
light cycles
planetoids
mutants, wizards
satellites
grid bugs, pods
centipedes
flaming barrels
baiters, ghosts
pterodactyls
worloks, pt boats
grunts, meteors
swarmers
humanoids and
space avengers

The pictures don't do it justice, it looks a lot better in person. I love doing this kind of thing. Gives people something to look at BEFORE they even get down into my arcade.

Just wanted to share with everyone here. It was a lot of fun to work on. My daughter helped me(a little bit) while we listened to Tom T. Hall's Greatest Hits over and over...

Special thanks again to Prok for the nice lettering. And also thank you to Swolgam who offered to help me with the lettering, too.

WOW.... Thats really Cool!
I have a stairwell like that. That gives me a few ideas.
Uncanny you mentioned Tom T Hall. I often listen to his stuff while working on games. I hate country, but that cat's stuff i like for whatever reason.

My daughter will have the widest music variety of anyone her age(4) from now until she's an old lady. We listen to everything from Tom T. Hall to Led Zeppelin, and Engelbert Humperdinck to Rush! She dances to it all.

Cadillacman, I had originally thought about lights for the stairwell, but the main floor lights right by the arcade door entrance are 75 watts(x2); and I always leave them on when I have a party so nobody trips and falls. It lights up the stairwell quite nice.

Cool concept, and execution. Very impressed! :notworthy:

that's really nice. almost makes me wish i had a stairwell to get to my planned arcade space.

someday i suppose when we put in the basement.

VERY cool! I love it. What a great idea... Reminds me of the opening sequence of Star Wars ;). Now you should rig up some motion sensors on the first or second steps that will trigger an mp3 player loaded with "Pac Man Fever", or maybe the opening music from DK, or maybe just some random arcade sounds...

I like DP Louie's idea too. That would be neat.
