Picked the front line up today. it works great.. Someone did a pretty poor color match touch up job. But the cab is in good shape. I need to replace the monitor as it has some light defender screen burn.. Monitor glass is decent, but it has some scratches/flaking.

But nice haul, that taito looks great....outer side good =P

Thats the Ebay one? What did you have to pay for it? I hit the guy several times for a price and never got a response.

yeah, he was hard to get to.. I kept bidding and it never made reserve and I was the top bidder for 3 or 4 listings.. We agreed on $350(he finally told me the reserve was $400).

I was worried when he said it was a 6 out of 10. But cab is better shape than that. I would say 7-8. The screen roll was just a pot adjustment.. Someone hacked in a switcher. I woas going to drop in an arcadeshop PS, but someone did it for me..

I love T2...I will have to get one of those someday....how heavy is that beast...it looks like its heavy and kind of bulky to move around...but I've never had one or moved one that I recall...

Yeah T2 is a sweet game but it"s my least favorite games to move around it's HEAVY!

Glad you got that Front Line! Wasn't that thing relisted at least a half a dozen times?

He relsited it 3 or 4 times. I kept bidding and no one would outbid me and it would not make reserve. The highest it ever got was $351. Eventually I spoke to him on the phone and we agreed on $350.

I think part of the problem was his calling it a 6 out of 10 and the rolling screen. His pics of the game look pretty good... It had me thinking what am I missing? But he is a pinball guy and maybe he was grading it a bit rough.. He goes to CAX, so I told him I would make sure someone took a front line this year..

I think the game is around a 7 or 8. Someone touched up some scratches. The orange color is close but the brown on the front is way off. Plus it had about 6 drywall screws stuck into 1 side for no reason.

I was messing with ultracade today..

Orignally it had a 25" cga in it. Pic looked dim.. So I pulled the monitor. Dropped it into a SF cab and picture looks great..

I dug out what I thought was a 25" vga I got like 8 years ago.. Turns out its a neotech nt-25e(ega). So I modified the ultracade cga dongle to ega and hooked it up.. Picture looked better, but it did not want to sync lock.

So I dug out a 27" d9400 I had. Since its VGA I could bypass the jamma video and connect directly to the computer(I was told the interface board can lead to dim picture).. Picture looks fantastic! I found some monitor mounts that will work, but I need to modify the cabinet to support the larger monitor..

finished the ultracade. I made some better monitor mounts and and added some L iron to beef up the structure of the cabinet. The 27" d9400 fits and looks great! Just need to cut the paper bezel a bit fit the larger monitor. here is pic..

Next up is put a new monitor into the front line. Will see if taito likes k7000.
