Contacted the second seller. He has now informed me that he spent $1200 yesterday on a Gold kit from pinballdecals .com and will be redoing the pin and then sell it for $7000 on ebay.

I replied that it will still only be an upgraded TAF and will be missing the gold plaque but he is seeing dollar signs.

I tend now to believe that he is liar or an idiot

F*** that guy. Quit wasting your time and move on. That PF is thrashed and not worth his original asking price. Spending $XXXX on a "gold kit" isn't going to help a blown out PF. He should have put that $$$ into a nicer PF, that would have made it alot better. Chances are he didn't buy the gold kit, he's just being a jerk. Even if he did, he got ripped of buying ANYTHING from Pinballdecals. Their prices are ridiculous.

I would also wait to find another TAF. I am also in the market for one and have found a few in the $3300.00 range. I am holding out for one that has mylar on it, (far and few in between) but they are out there. As stated, the other way you could look at it is there will eventually be repro PF's for sale if your up to the swapping task.

If the sellers name starts with J or S stay away from them. (staying away from full name calling
And if this asshate thinks he can resell for $7K why would he even consider selling for $3500? Liar and idiot.

Yes the seller in question is indeed a first class A hole and one to stay away from. He tried swindling a pin trade outta me giving me some bullshit excuse.

He's gotta be hurting for money considering he's trying to sell Star Wars action figures out of a place in the Clackamas Mall in a downed economy.

Update: I renewed my craigslist posting and the Same guy (seller #2) contacted me again about his High end TAF.

He said give him a call. I emailed back from another account, that a picture is worth a thousand words.

I've met a small handfull of decent pin collectors and a LARGE handful of assholes. That guy is one of them. I've learned to not trust anyone on their word. Just because you own a pinball machine doesn't mean you know jack shit. High res pictures are mandatory because condition is way too subjectional. I love "Great shape for it's age". No idiot, bad playfield wear is bad no matter how old it is.
I have a sneaking suspicion I know who nutso the pin flipper is buying these routed pins from. Going to call him and see what I can get
