removed all connectors (except J101..) and F114 blows the instant I switch on.

it's an 8A for the +18 volt = lamp matrix

could it be related to BR2?

also, none of the switches on the coin door and start button are working.

A couple thoughts.

First be sure your CPU doesn't have battery damage - it gets the door stuff first.

Second I'd power up your game and check the voltage test points to see if anything besides your 18 volts is missing.

Then pull your power driver board, easy to what ever bridge rectifier is involved with your 18 volt section and see if it is shorted.

BR2 is your 5 volts, if game powers up it is fine.

LTG :)

no battery leakage or corrosion.

TP measurements:

TP1 12VU = 16V
TP2 5V = 4,9V
TP3 12VR = 0,9V
TP4 ZC = 3,4V
TP5 GND
TP6 50V = 78V
TP7 20V = 23V
TP8 18V = 0,4V

time to replace all bridge rectifiers? something else to check?

If I had this problem, the first thing I would have done is unplugged everything except J101. If you then power up the game and it immediately blows F114, then you can be 100 percent certain the problem is on the PDB. From looking at the Schematic Manual, Power Driver Board, Sheet 1, Page 2, it looks like BR1 is the culprit. F114 provides power to TP3 & TP8. So...the voltages make sense if F114 is blown

BR1 is indeed the culprit! thanks a bunch!!
