I am looking for an Adams Family Pinball and all I see is $6,000-$8,000 machines. I did find a couple for $2,000 but jeez I could never spending that kind of money on one game. is there better deals out there or am looking for a needle in a haystick by trying to find an Adams pinball for under $2,000?

One came up here in Dallas recently, guy was asking 2200$ and it wouldn't even power on. Refused a 1700$ offer.

A year and a half ago i sold a mint one for 3k. Lately, these things have been going for 3500 - 4500+. Just a whole lot of demand. I know 3 local (NY) guys looking for one right now in that range, and they havent found one yet.

The 5 - 6k ones are those that are trying to set a new price point - hopefully they stay on the market and dont cause anymore increase cause it has been nuts.

here in the midwest a nice sold on ebay for 3000 this summer.
i know someone who says they got 3700 out of one recently.

If you find one for $2000 from a collector I bet that'll be an expensive mess of a project.

My wife loves playing Addam's but dang, 3 grand....Anything over a grand shocks me.

The premium Bally/Williams titles have all seen increases beyond what anyone expected. When I started collecting, $1700-$2000 was the norm for a non-gold. Gold was $4K. Now $2500 is an incredible price with $3K+ more of a norm.

dang I guess I will have to find another favorite pinball to search for (maybe one that is less popular). I just can't justify spending those prices on a game.

the craigslist app for droid is pretty good. you can set miles away from your zipcode and the price range. then just watch it.
you'll know the market within driving distance within 2 weeks.

when i was first searching, i did that virtual pinball program. once i saw an interesting prospect that i hadn't personally played before on craigslist, i'd download the roms and try out the game to see if it was interesting.

paid 1800 for mine

needs a lot of work
these higher prices almost make it worth it to install a new playfield

cant get to restoring it till next winter :(
cant wait to play a game

is the pinball market at a high point right now? or are they selling for less now because of the market? Seems like despite the economy people are asking for very high prices.

A-list titles have increased. In fact, and dont laugh on this but some titles have tracked the price of gold.

I watch CL, Mr Pin and Ebay for pins on my want list. Twilight Zones dont last long at 3500 in any condition. Collector quality TZs are easily getting 4500+ (i just paid for one in mint for more than that price). AFMs have taken off to 5k+ easily - frenzy when they get listed.

Forget about MMs for less than 9k. TOTAN, TOMS, SS seem to be 4k pins now. MB surprises me - 5k+ easily.

Even the bang for your buck DMD titles have risen.

Deals are out there but they are rare and few between (i even sold a project TZ 4 months back at 2900, i dont take advantage, or maybe i am just dumb - I was offered 3500 for it during the pending sale and even days after i sold it).

Just seems like lots of demand, lots of entry into the hobby. I don't mind :)
