Here is my story Sad but True,

I purcahsed a 100 percent working Congo Bongo awhile back. Last year I had got a Super Zaxxon. I had to test the baord in the machine cause it wasn't working properly so i used my Congo Bongo cab to do so. Ever since then I lost sound on my Congo Bongo board.

Then I purchased a "working" board off of ebay. This board played sound but the graphics were garbled.

Now I just got Yet another board and this plays sounds but the graphics are weird. you can see boxes around any object that moves on screen.

Can anyone please help before I break this machine.?

I would attempt to fix the original Congo Bongo board first. How many times did you try plugging it in again before you purchased a replacement? Look at it closely and see if anything got bumped or disconnected. Reseat the interboard connectors, wiggle the volume pot, etc.

i tried just about everything with the boards. reseated chips. cleaned. i don;t think its the cabinet caus ewhy would it have thre different effects on three different boards. and it seems NOONE fixes these boards.

have you tested voltages coming from the power supply?

your symptoms strike me as something that could be an issue with the power supply/improper voltages.

if you don't know someone near you with a congo bongo to test your boards in, if you want to pay shipping both ways I can test your boards in my machine.

all voltage checks out. i don;t feel like spending 20 bucks to ship back and forth unless you can fix it. i only kinda liek the game. ill probably end up dumping it. if anyone has advice please help. three seperate issues with 3 different boards.

does anyone have a diagram of the boards? maybe if i swap some of the audio chips for th eboards i could get a working one.
