Due to medical issues, I have to sell another game, and up for sale now is my Q-Bert that is in such mint "original" condition, it literally looks like it just came off the assembly line in '82.

And it is in perfect working condition (including the working knocker). This one is as nice as it gets.

Please feel free to PM offers to me (and happy to send you more pics upon request).

Thank you!

That is a beautiful Q Bert.
Good luck with your health and with the sale of your game.

I realize I didn't attach a price to it, my bad. I'm looking for at least 2000 for it as the many collectors I've spoken with have said an original working dedicated Qbert (in mint condition no less) is going for much more these days. Someone just sold a restored Qbert (not original like mine) for 3200 to give an example.

I'm definitely willing to make a deal on it as I need the money soon for medical expenses.

That's the nicest I've seen! I can't imagine how much it's worth compared to the pricey ones I've seen sell for in un-matching condition.

I would say good luck but it's more like "congrats" to the lucky person who ends up with that nice machine.

Thank you - I'm just awaiting someone to present a worthy offer!

Pure curiosity, did the early original machines have the raised-letter Gottlieb coin door standard or did that come later?

Early machines, like this one, did not have the logo coin door. This is one of the cleanest originals I have ever seen. If I was selling, I wouldn't take less than $2500 for sure. Just a matter of waiting for the right buyer. eBay might be a better place to sell a clean, popular game like this.

I know you're an authority on early and proto stuff. I wondered about the side art on the machine this thread. It seems to have an all back solid shadow behind qbert. I remember years ago when Arcade Renovations repro'd the art, it had a black shadow. It was later discovered that the shadow should be translucent, not opaque and a new run happened and those solid shadow sets were blown out at a steep discount. The reason for the question is I wonder if the solid shadow was just really early art, and not a mistake on the part of AR all those years ago. I would think there could have been 2 versions, since this game is all original.

does this machine for sale have original or repo artwork? I'm confused :) Also, did it sell?
