Has anyone else use this to restore the side of the arcade cabinets? I bought mine online from reliablehardware.com . I did one arcade so far and thinking about doing another. I know it is more expensive than painting but I it covers up the flaws and it is more durable than paint. The only down side is the installation. Need to try to roll out all the air bubbles after glueing it on. Then router the edges.

I haven't used it yet but bought several sheets for some projects after an operator told me about it. I have some new cocktail cabinets I am going to try it on since those things are most likely to get kicked a lot. I figured the smaller footprint of a cocktail would help minimize the air bubble issue...

Any adhesion issues if you apply paint or stickers to this stuff? How about using it vs. vinyl? Sounds like it would be more durable.

I use the 1/16th black textured ABS plastic on a sheet of 1/2" plywood when making a Nintendo panel from scratch. Together I get the perfect 9/16" thickness and it looks great.

To attach it, I use rubber contact cement. Works great!

It is more durable than vinyl. It is durable like the laminate you use on your kitchen countertops. I did orange laminate on a Mario Bros cabinet. The side art decals stay on with no problems but you can peel the decals off easier. But the laminate I used is not smooth but textured with a bunch on tiny little bumps.

Does anyone have any other sources that have more color selections and have a smooth finish?

...I have laminated my Tempest cabinet before applying new side art and was very satisfied. I used white Formica laminate from Lowes. Their in stock selection is of course limited. My cabinet is super durable and it looks fantastic!

Lowes around here has several faux stone type patterns and white in store, 4x8 or so sheets. I wish they carried matte black in store, but I guess it's not in huge demand for cabinetry.
