From some googling, there is actually a company out there that makes new bingo games for the belgium market. Also, the license fee is TEN TIMES that of a regular pin, yet the Bingos are still raking it in and in every bar.
To me this is really interesting. Pinball started with gambling games during the WORST economic time in American history. People were looking for cheap entertainment and something hopeful, and that's what pinball provided. We are still in a severe recession now. People gravitate towards gambling and other vices in economic down times.
Coincidence? Sign of the times? I don't know. But it's interesting to observe.
