So im just getting to learn about the Neo Geo and i have been looking around for multigames to be about to put in them and i came across a 1069-1 multigame on jammaboards.com it has different options to choose from when buying the boards, like CPU power and power supply. My questions, how hard is it to hook all this up is it just plug in and play? and will this work on the Neo Geo Snk.
Heres the webiste i was looking at for the 1069-1 http://www.jammaboards.com/store/1069-in-1-games-family-multigame-system/prod_243.html

Sorry if these questions are dumb, im new to the Neo Geo.

1069-1 is a computer. Its "its" own system. You wouldn't use the Neo board. Neo's use carts. They have multi-carts for them. I have a 130-1 cart. Works great, but does have some sound issues with some of the games.

Nixs on here sells them and beats others prices.

the 4 and 6 slot boards are a little different than jamma, so you would need an adapter. the carts would be a better choice, I think. Just plug it in 1 of the slots.

I seen on the 1069-1 withe the killer edition upgrade, you get a mortal kombat 1 and 3 and like a few street fighters and a bnch of other good game that why i was interested in this.

on jammaboards.com it says in the item required.
jamma wired cabinet or Neo Geo mvs wired cabinet, i thought this would work in a neo geo just plug in a play.

I have read the item description like 3 times and i swear it would work maybe i got confused on someting but this would be awesome to have every game i wanted is on it.

Keyword: WIRED. They mean it will connect to the wiring in the cab. I believe there is a slight difference between Jamma and the Neo wiring.

You can put the 10XX-1 in there and connect it to the wiring. However, the 10XX-1 does not interface with the Neo board itself.

You can get a switcher to have both boards in there if you want.

Having just bought one of the 1XXX in 1 boards, it is not just a straight plug n play. The 1XXX in 1 board requires an ATX power supply in addition to the normal switching power supply found in an arcade cabinet.

In addition, you would need to add 2 buttons to your Neo Geo Cabinet as most Neo Geo cabinets are only equipped with four buttons, and the jamma harness may need a couple of small modifications if it is a true MVS harness (i.e. the addition of -5V wires).

I have yet to hook up my 1XXX in one board, but you should take a look at the manual for the 1XXX in 1 board that is posted on jammaboards website. I bought my 1XXX in 1 board with the KE hard drive from armi0024 here on KLOV for $300 shipped.

Multi-slot Neo Geo cabinets are wired for stereo audio. YOU CANNOT PLUG A JAMMA BOARD INTO THIS WITHOUT AN ADAPTER OR REWIRING THE CABINET.

They sell an adapter on eBay that will adapt JAMMA boards into a Neo Geo cabinet.

If you plug in a JAMMA board without the adapter or rewiring the audio in the cabinet you'll blow the audio output amp chip on the JAMMA board.

If your thinking of putting this in a real Neo MVS cab, not a conversion, your cab will already have the ATX style power supply needed to run that board.

WOW, i just got alot of advise hear thanks, im not sure which person to take advise from , one person said it will work in a Neo Geo that hasnt been convert and someone else said it wouldnt without a jamma harness.

On jammaboards.com its say the 1xxx-1 will work with either a jamma or NeoGeo wired cabinet, the Neo Geo that im looking at hasnt been converted,

I'm sorry. I totally mis-read/mis-understood your original post.

And honestly, I'm as confused as you are now.

Have you emailed jammaboards for an answer? I've emailed them before, late at night. I had an answer within 20 minutes.
