This poor Crime Fighters was left to rot outside of an old business. It looks like someone took the monitor and wiring harness, but left the pcb. Upon scouting the area out, I quickly pulled up, and pulled that thing off faster than a member of a nascar pitcrew pulling a tire off! Got it home and it fired up perfectly. Unbelievable!! I wish the rest of the game was worth salvaging, but I'm pretty sure that if I tried to move it, it would have disintegrated. Here are a couple pics, sorry for the bad quality! I'm contemplating going back for the cp and marquee, but I dont know that it'll be worth it.....

I would have grabbed the cp and the coin doors too.

I thought about it, but A. didnt wanna get hassled by local authorities (this did after all look uber suspicious at night time lol) and B. it was severely water damaged. I would have only gotten it for the joysticks and buttons, however the joysticks were badly rusted.. :(

4" wico leaf sticks in there I assume. Those dust rings alone are very HTF.

did you check the coin box to see if their was anything in it? man i would of taken the CP also just unrusted the sticks and used them for backup or sell em.

So "stealing" parts off an apparently abandoned game outside a business is okay but "stealing" a Sundance from an apparently abandoned building in the middle of nowhere is bad?

Hahhahahahhahahhaaa!
Sad, but only a select few will understand this statement....

Having a pickup truck, I would have just quickly tossed it in the back and left. Sort out the spoils later. If the cabinet is as bad as you say, smash it up and throw it in the trash. Better than it sitting out in the rain some more.

Like Dre says, "If you got your 'Nina', then you know you're straight trippin'." Pack some protection and grab that stuff!

Yeah, its not exactly in the best part of town, but I do think I'm going to go back for more and/or all of it. I can't help but feel like I'm stripping an abandoned car down like in movies (insert photoshopped picture of arcade game on cinder blocks) LOL

How about knocking on the door and talk to the owner. Seems like a logical first step to me.

The whole shopping center is vacant. If you look through the windows, the place inside is trashed. Garbage everywhere, filing cabinets flipped over. Closest running business is a mexican hair salon about a hundred yards away, and I'm not even sure if that place is still open either. I have a buddy that lives near it and he confirmed its been sitting like that for three or more weeks out in the weather.

Just go back and get the whole thing. Maybe the cabinet isn't in as bad as shape as you think. Either way it would be easier to get the hole thing and take what you want off of it than to keep going back there stripping parts off.
