You ever have one of those days? I am.

It all started yesterday when someone backed out of buying my Lost World pin. That was ok, since I had another, better offer, and a 3rd waiting in line. So buyer #2 was supposed to come tonight. I heard from him around noon, saying that he though it was a different game (JP, instead of JPLW), so he backs out. So I let #3 know, and he says he is headed for the bank as soon as he gets off work. Get a call a little later, and his wife axed the idea, so he won't be getting it.

Oh yeah, I've been trying to sell a car for the last month, and what sounded like a serious buyer was supposed to come over at 4. I call him at 5, and he says he is an hour away. I get a call a bit later, and he isn't coming after all.

All this time, I'm trying to figure out how to ship a game from Omaha (or Albuquerque) here while having to pay cash in person without having to drive 8 hours each way. It's a game I've been dying to get since I started collecting. It's a screaming deal, but I need to sell either the car or the pin (or a SF2 that I have had no bites on) to get it (both were being sold anyways).

FML.

Happens to me all the time,as for your car (what i mostly sale on CL) Lower your price if you really want to move it.People are looking for garage sale prices on CL and it sounds like you need cash before your game is no longer available. Sometimes you gotta take a bath on something to get something else you REALLY want. Like i said happens to me all the time.

you say to get the game you want you either need to sell the pin, the car or the SF2. That would seem to be a very wide price range. Or at least I would guess it would be. How about offering the pin for less that you originally wanted to try and motivate buyers? That way you get rid of one game, get cash in hand and get the game you want. Sure the screaming deal will no longer be as good since you lost a little on the sale price of your pin but you would still get the game you want in the end.

craigs list buyers

alot of shoo flies on craigs list. i stay away from cl when selling anything, even if i have to take less. when selling a car i usually trade it in when buying a new one i will make the best deal on a car and then let them know about a trade-in at the end. with the difference deducted from the sales tax it is worth it to me not to deal with shoo flies.

Well I feel for you and this is such a common thing now. However, the part I quoted above does not sound like it will have a positive outcome. I would drive the 8 hours each way and go get it. Shipping a game just sounds like trouble.

Yes, they are all in very different price range ($600, $1,300, and $24,000), but all I need to do is sell one of the three to have the cash to buy the other game. All 3 of them need to get sold anyways, but once that happens I can snag this other deal.

pm sent. Yes, it is on the other game. Does anyone have an empty truck going from either place to D-town?
