My adventure begins last Thursday night while browsing Craigslist. I saw a post titled Donkey Kong arcade $100. All the description say is "works!". Needless to say, I sent an email. I didn't get a response Friday and assumed it was long gone. Fast-forward to Saturday morning at 7:30am waking up to the phone ringing. It was the DK seller! She said it was still available and only about five miles down the road! When she opened her garage door and I was staring at a DK Jr. I was thrilled since I already have a DK cocktail. She said, I think I should have asked more than $100 judging by how many emails she had. After a rebuilt joystick and $3 board repair I have a working DK Jr.
The next pick up came from a six week old WTB post on CL for a candy cab. I got a response and i went to snatch it up. It turns out he is a former collector who has been out of the hobby for 10+ years. It was hard for me to focus on the game I came for when your staring at a mountain of games and parts. I ended Buying a Jaleco Pony Mark IV, Cosmic Guerilla Cocktail and a stack of other stuffs.
And I might be picking up a mint Moppet!
