A few nights ago, I visited a friend who has a Baby PacMan in his collection. He had several credits already on the machine.

After a particularly disasterous game, I held down the player one start button to immediately restart the game. As the next game began, the machine also kicked a ball out into play, and the flippers were active, so I was controlling Baby Pac in the maze, while simultaneously hitting the pinball with the flippers!

Of course, this was incredibly difficult to play, so after about 10 seconds, I just moved Baby Pac down the tunnel to go into the pinball anyway. Then the I could focus solely on the pinball portion, and the machine worked normally from that point on.

Has anybody else ever encountered this? Is this just a bizarre glitch, or a sign of something that needs repaired?

Thanks Zeke! We'll consider it a one-off glitch unless it starts to happen more frequently, then I suppose we'll check all the connectors.

moght be worth your buddies time to check the pinball mpu for acid damage if the battery is starting to leak and corrode things remove it and repair it now before the mpu is ruined.

prolly not the issue those are known for being glitchy anyways,... but always a good idea to check on any bally pinball machine.
