A "Thank You" Would Be Nice!!

Yesterday a member put up a Thread that he needed help locating part #'s for his Stern Machine and really needed help since he couldnt locate the manual nowhere.I sent him a PM asking him what he needed help with and that i have a manual and i would be more than glad to help out.It took me about 30 mins. looking for all the part #'s for this guy and PM them back to him and Stern manuals are not like bally or williams they are cluttered with stuff.Til now i havent heard back from him not a hello, Thank you,NOTHING!.This just makes it worse for someone else who needs help and wont have me wondering if im just wasting my time. Thanks,Mike

Multiply that by several hundred times and you'll have how many times this has happened to me. It could be a lot worse than just not being thanked. You could give correct advice and have to defend it against someone giving totally wrong advice. That's always fun. But enough about my bitterness. If this is how you're going to feel you should just stop helping. There will always be someone else willing to help out. Complaining like this for not being thanked for finding some part numbers after one day is pretty ridiculous, quite frankly.

I learned a long time ago that if you are helping someone for something other than just the sake of helping, you will most likely end up with disappointment. I just help whenever I can and move along.
